Non-Negotiable Requirements

  • Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & Outlook specifically)
  • Coachable, takes direction & learns quickly
  • EXTREME attention to detail
  • Time management & the ability to meet deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • TICO Certification (Can be obtained after start date – requires study)
  • Resourceful, creative, and crafty like Martha S.

Bonus Skills

  • Travel Industry experience
  • Working knowledge of Clientbase, Sirev, Trello, Email Marketing systems
  • Social media management (FB, FB Groups & IG), Blogging
  • Desktop publishing with Canva
  • Fluency in Spanish
  • A solid appreciation for a good dark roast, can predict the future, and has the ability to read minds.

Tasks Include

  • Client data input and invoicing in Clientbase
  • Data input and maintenance of Excel rooming lists
  • Create electronic invites and track RSVPs
  • Promotion and encouragement of insurance purchase
  • Draft email newsletters for important group correspondence
  • Corresponding with local wedding coordinators for urgent details as needed
  • Create planning timelines, seating plans & wedding itineraries
  • Assemble bride boxes, airport bags, luggage tags & mailouts
  • Research, creating and maintaining checklists
  • Facebook & Instagram content creation
  • Assist with wedding couple consultations and take notes
  • Prepare for bridal show and/or marketing events and attend
  • Assist with airport escort on group departure day

Remuneration & Hours

$hourly to be discussed (+ access to industry discounts and free travel perks)

You’ll be working strictly with destination wedding and group travel in a fast paced  in-office environment.  You may also be asked to assist with incoming calls and record detailed messages as needed.  This is a temporary (part time working to full time with demand) position to cover maternity leave ending June 15, 2022, with a possibility of becoming permanent.

Preference will be given to those with a current TICO license and with some travel sales experience. While I welcome applications from established sales agents please know that the bulk of this employment is in a supporting role.  Based on your work history you may become responsible for group accounts in future, using A-DestinationWedding SOP’s which may differ from your past experience.
