Stashed in the middle of a remote area of the Samana Peninsula -- one of the D.R.’s least developed tourist regions – the Grand Bahia is a is nestled amid lush gardens and on a beautiful white sand beach with calm crystal blue waters.
The beach at the Grand Bahia does not disappoint. The beach is huge and rife with blue lounge chairs -- for watching waves, building sand castles, napping, and reading. Many visitors find the beach to be among the best in the Caribbean -- you can walk for miles on soft sand beside perfectly clear water.
On-site entertainment comes in the form of shows, games, a spa, tennis and a fitness center. The Kids Club is included and so is the water park which also has a special children’s spa and mini snack area just for them.
You'll be captivated by the vast tropical gardens and the great variety of facilities, services and fun throughout making Bahia Principe El Portillo a choice spot for groups, families and wedding celebrations.

Stuff happens! You never know when you may need to cancel your trip. Insurance is available to protect you should you need to cancel at any time prior to departure. Coverage must be purchased within 48 hours of deposit. Ontario residents only. Please read policy details for information on COVID-19 exclusions and coverage.

A non-refundable deposit is required no later than July 31, 2022. Space at our group rate is first come first served as we have a limited number of rooms available in our block, so booking early is suggested. Reservations may be made after our block is full, however, subject to availability and new pricing.
Weekly, bi-weekly and monthly payments can be arranged. Balance due October 17, 2022.
Canadian citizens require valid passports for travel to the Dominican Republic, and must be fully vaccinated against Covid-19 to board a flight originating in Canada. If possible, a scanned copy, or cell phone photo of your passport emailed to Nicole is appreciated.
